Homemade Cheesy Mince....My 1st attempt

The Bun is a soft bread which is usually eaten as a snack with tea or coffee or as a main meal during lunch or dinner. The main ingredients are flour, yeast, egg, yogurt/milk and butter/ghee. The Bun is cooked in an oven. The Bun is popular in worldwide, as it is used for making sandwiches and burgers. The Bun is also used for making Vada Pav, Qeema Pav and Pav bhaji etc., apart from these, buns used in various forms such as it used for stuffing for examples, Cheese Bun, Chocolate Bun, Paneer Bun and Mince Buns.  Although, it was my first attempt, but I succeeded in making this delicious Cheesy Mince Bun. I hope you people like this recipe, so at least just try once, it is so yummy that you and your children and family will definitely love this.

Ingredients:

For dough:



75 ml of lukewarm water

1 cup of yogurt


2 tsp active dry yeast powder


1/2 tbsp salt (as per taste)

3 tbsp olive oil + 1 tbsp for greasing

3 tsp sugar

4 cups of all purpose flour or bread flour


1 tsp baking soda double action



For glazing the buns:

3-5 tbsp unsalted butter, for glazing

1 large egg beaten, for glazing

1/2 -1 cup sesame seeds

For mince:

250-300 gm lamb/beef/chicken mince

2 onions, finely chopped


1 tsp black pepper

1 tsp garam masala

1 tbsp red chili powder

1 cup parsley (optional)

4-5 garlic, finely chopped

1 tsp oil

200 gm mozzarella shredded cheese for stuffing





Directions for cooking:


1. Take an empty bowl, then add flour, salt, baking soda, yogurt and olive oil.

2. Take another bowl, dissolve yeast and sugar in lukewarm water and let it settle for 10 mins.

3. Now mix this mixture and knead it for 5-10 mins or till it becomes a soft dough. Cover it with cling drape and let it rise for 6-8 hrs.




4. In the meanwhile, take a non-stick pan, heat oil and add the mince and saute till it changed its color now add onion, garlic, red chili powder, black pepper powder, salt and garam masala mix well and cook for another 5-10 mins. Then finally add parsley.

5. Now your dough has risen just knead for a few minutes. As shown in the picture. And divide it into 6-8 equal balls.




6. Now take one by one and flatten each ball with your palm and start stuffing minced into it.

7. Make a ball shape and seam side down.

8. Place these balls into the baking tray which was previously greased with oil. Cover these balls with cling drape and set aside for at least 20-30 mins or till its double volume.

9. After that brush the top with melted butter/egg wash and sprinkle some sesame seeds over it.

10. Bake in a preheated oven about 10-20 mins. And serve hot with ketchup.
